My first lecture at the Lagos State University began with an interesting twist.
Our professor, the distinguished Dr Tunde Akanni, who interacted with us via Google Meet, challenged us to give a functional face to our study of Media Theories.
You see, I entered the virtual room with one of my less used Gmail accounts, ‘charlesnards@gmail.com’. Charles is the name I chose for confirmation, after the Ugandan St. Charles Lwanga. And just like that, I became Mr Charles to all my colleagues.
Though my choice of that Gmail account hadn’t been premeditated, it struck me that this was an interesting way to begin this new phase of my life.
So, let me officially introduce y’all to Fr. Charles Oselumhense Anetor, PhD student at the Lagos State University, Lagos Nigeria.
