As recounted by @DrOlufunmilayo on twitter, Abubakar Sahid, a 15 year old boy was abducted and murdered by Kidnappers in Bauchi state eleven days ago.
His father Dr Rilwanu Sadiq, a medical doctor working at the Abubakar Tafawa University Teaching Hospital received a call about his son’s abduction while at work.
His kidnappers first demanded a ransom of 3 million Naira but later increased their demands to 4.5 million Naira.
Determined to secure his son’s release, Dr Rilwanu made the said payment, sadly, his son was murdered and buried him in a shallow grave around the house.
Kamal Datti, the spokesperson of The Bauchi State Police Command confirmed the abduction to PREMIUM TIMES and reported that the remains of Abubakar Sadiq had been exhumed and buried Sunday.
He further stated that “two suspects have been arrested in relation to the death, and investigation is ongoing.”
@DrOlufunmilayo further lamented that the country had failed to protect the life of the young man while his father protected the lives of others.
