Monday of the Seventh Week of Easter. Reflection by Rev Fr Oselumhense Anetor (Uromi Diocese)
Acts 19:1-8; John 16:29-33

Years ago, Pope Francis encouraged priests to begin organising and taking courses on life in the spirit. This is because we may have totally forgotten about what life in the spirit means. Although we received the Holy Spirit at confirmation, we still act like those who have never heard about the Spirit. A flock can only be as spiritual as its Shepherd

Friends, Jesus says we should be of good cheer since he has overcome the world. But how many of us are able to key into these words of grace? Don’t we still want large bank accounts, fame and popularity? Don’t we still rejoice in sin? Aren’t we still fettered by the world? Let’s pray for the grace to untangle from the world and live in the spirit. Amen.

Good morning dear. God bless your week ahead.
