As at March 28th, The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has announced that the number of laboratories with the capacity to test for the Coronavirus in Nigeria have now increased to six.
The laboratories include:
Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Lagos.
Nigerian Institute for Medical Research, Lagos
University College Hospital (UCH) Ibadan.
Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital, Irrua.
NCDC National Reference Laboratory, Abuja
African Center of Excellence for Genomics of Infectious Diseases, Osun.
The NCDC has also assured the populace that another laboratory will be set up in Abakaliki tomorrow to bring the testing capacity up to speed.
