There has been an uproar on social media about the organized gang robberies perpetuated by the one million boys in some areas in Ogun, Lagos and Oyo.
Residents live in fear as these criminals who are barely in their twenties, armed with cutlasses and guns move in groups raiding homes and shops both at daylight and night time—carting valuables and raping mothers and daughters.
Residents have expressed frustration as security operatives have failed to respond swiftly and completely curtail the situation after several calls to state emergency numbers.
Following this development, vigilante and young men have taken to the streets to defend their families and properties and some of the gang members have been apprehended and handed to the appropriate authorities
