Easter Sunday. Year A. Oselumhense Anetor. 00:10am. April 12, 2020. 1 minute read

Acts 10:34:,37-43; Ps.118:1-2,16-17,22-23; Col.3:1-4; John 20:1-9

Today is Easter. Indeed, the Lord is risen just as he said. But that’s not enough. We need mouths to spread the good news abroad. In today’s first reading, Peter tells the household of Cornelius that they saw and ate with the Lord after his resurrection, and so have become witnesses, who have been charged to tell everyone about Jesus who is coming to judge the living and the dead.

Friends, to be true witnesses, we must first witness to Christ by our way of life. St Paul says to look for the things that are in heaven, since we have been brought back to life in Christ. Just as the Apostles went to the tomb, found it empty, and understood the teaching of scripture that Jesus must rise from the dead, so too may we hasten to meet Jesus today in the Eucharist, eager to become true witnesses to the power of his resurrection. Can I get a witness?

Good morning dear. God bless you real good. Happy Easter Sunday!
