Professor Akin Abayomi, state commissioner for health earlier announced that a sixty-six year old Briton who came into Lagos on March 17th after a journey from India to Dubai has died from complications from the Coronavirus. This is the third death in Lagos State since the onset of the novel Coronavirus pandemic.

The first case was a fifty-five year old who died of complications from the Coronavirus at the Lagos State Teaching Hospital LUTH, Idi-Araba and the second case was a 36 year old Nigerian man who passed on in a private facility in Lagos state on April 4th.

As at 9:30pm April 7th 2020 Lagos recorded 10 new confirmed cases of the Coronavirus which brings the tally to 130 confirmed cases of the disease, 32 discharged, 2 evacuated and 3 deaths
